An epistemology, among other things, represents the basis, form and structure of knowledge. A young man growing up remembers one or two incidents in his recent past that forms the basis of his perception of everything else. He may have thought his mother/father always tells him the truth or perhaps it might have been the Fonz.

As the one thing to hold up all else, it is strangely nondescript, appearing simply ordinary in his experience. He has not learnt to preserve or protect it as yet. That happens when he is much older.

The way that we sometimes experience our whole world toppling down takes place largely in our passions. It doesn't bother us at first and we still manage to be in line for that new model of Iphone that's just out. It's sometime later, maybe months, maybe years when it starts to ache a little.

There are writers who have referred to it as a psychic pain. It's certainly not physical nor is it related to an incident or object in our environment that we may relate to in a tangible way, making it rational to our understanding.

In the way in which man comes to view himself as man is the way in which he came to experience one thing after another in a natural order that built his understanding from the simple to the most complex. It is observed sometimes, in the sequence that certain events take place. A man rejected in a job interview succeeds in another better paying position. He nods gently and says it was for the better.

And then sometimes we apply our notions of epistemology to the hard things. In leaving the church service, the father of a soldier who was killed in Iraq is comforted from the father with the words ' the Lord moves in mysterious ways.' He does indeed.

A theory of knowledge -- so delicate, and pure. You really echo the creeds of epistomology throughout this peice. the tittle is killer.
