A cosh is the preferred instrument of gangsters. It is held in a tight grip in the palm of the hand and brought down on the back of the head of the injured. Most times a person may pass out from such a blow to the head. That particular passion with which the handler does that and the impulse that is brought into satisfaction may constitute a matter of inquiry.

In these days of free will and fast flowing ideas, it comes to be viewed as a particular target of the passions, where the passions appear to have crossed their level of endurance with the half baked ideas of the mind.

The situation becomes even more acute when one realizes that the loss of tolerance by the passion may contain another matter of great significance. I'm referring to the experience of virtue in the passion. Long an instrument of the women, chaste and loyal in their devotion to their experiences of the ethos in society.

Such women have always made great friends to a man of learning. They may even be referred to as being kind in their mannerisms, with a patience that endures long after the Olympic flame has been extinguished. But a woman's body is created to solicit responses in the great universe of socialization. This is a matter of real importance to their health and well being.

The way our societies practice virtue is a little like a programmed sense of the kosher to the emotions. This is right .... that is wrong .... and there are no buts about it.

In today's climate, in fact throughout the last century, the emerging generations have been asking for a greater opportunity to apply themselves to learning such virtues, without an engagement of the cosh factor. In all such cases the individual takes responsibility for their own disciplining.

No doubt our societies have been listening to such requests. I am the product of such a liberal attitude in upbringing and social relations and I don't think I have turned out too badly.

In the context of my own experiences, I'm likely to conclude that such an opportunity is available to all today and where that may be limited, the individual may need to undertake their own initiatives on the issue.
