They carried their cokes and found a table in the food court. It was on the terrace in an open air environment.

' So you're quite sure about heading for college?' Liza asked as they sat down on the metal chairs.

' Pretty much,' Peter answered. ' But I figured I might just drive a truck after that.'

' Just the learning,' she intoned.

Liza had worn a  biege dress that was kind on the thighs and breasts. Her blonde hair fell in a jaunt about her head. She conjured in Peter the image of a 50s tennis player, complete with white sneakers. It produced a sense of the demure in him.

Just then a gust of wind blew up and Liza held her left eye on account of some dust that was carried on the wind. She had instinctively reached for her eye and rubbed. But it was still there. It was Peter's instinct to go over and blow on the eye, but it occured to him that it would not remove dust from eyes. So he motioned her to wait, ran into the nearest pharmacy, bought an eye lotion and returned.

She dabbed on a few drops and the eyes cleared instantly. Peter figured that he had saved himself some foolishness that day but as he went home, his eyes were veiled with the color biege against flesh. It held his gaze there.
