The night sky floats above like a canopy and it doesn't quite look at us but intimates its relation. As I stand in the garden and respond to its sensation, I experience the vague suggestion of familiarity and yet the distance preserves its silent nature.

It stirs in my mind the memories of myths, of men and beasts who were in the throes of creation, half men with half horses or lions, that pondered on their choices.... making decisions that sometimes meets with regret and then creating hopes that sail on the wings of glory to a bright and shiny vitalization of ourselves.

Myths or monsters? Truths or delusions? They dare the individual to look at them again, past our own exhaustion and shattered loves. Our infants seek a greater promise, an engagement of the world that's kinder, gentler, better informed.

I see something sometimes and sometimes I think it sees me. Today I believe it sees a greater initiative, straightforwardness, an appreciation for the living.... it appears to me that it inquires.... do I have what it takes? Is the nature of my ambition intact?

I try to answer in the affirmative. And then I remember that I've always answered in the affirmative. So I say, ' You decide.'

The haste of our youth returns to the shores of the father in the form of wisdom. Then he turns to look at his own past with new eyes .... to mingle with the life of the new generation today ..... past their own haste and dismissals .... not to preach to them about regrets but to join hands with them in our own subtle search for the flowers of wellbeing, of things well done.

Here on earth we are in the throes of the creation of half fathers and half sons and sometimes, half women. No doubt we have moved ahead and come to realize that we can no longer rely on priests to intercede. We are unto ourselves, priests.

- So intellegent. Truley words of a philsopher. Brillant once again.

That last paragraph brings all the preceding to life. Perhaps the mystical monsters of the past were an attempt to realise the problems of growing and experiencing. A thought provoking write written, I think with wisdom.
