A Published Account

Mystical Series : XI

 

 

 

I have a book with the publisher and am waiting news. No doubt I'll try another if this one turns me down. But the attempt we make to get published has a colorful tradition.

 

To be published is the pillar of a life that is lived thinking and creating understanding that concerns the lives of our fellow men. In that, we come to discover an integrity about ourselves that is peer approved. It says that we have brought to our experiences a concern that is more than a mere self adventure. It helps us to rise further.

 

A thought which is in that way shared by others and perceived as value is a significant contribution on the part of the author. Such thoughts have helped our societies to build and grow. In time such a thought becomes an institution to our evolving endeavors and finds a place in the practice of the norms of society.

 

This must concern the thoughts of a new author who is preparing to make such a contribution. We are all in that way potential candidates for such an experience. We live our lives the way we do and in relation to the many countless lives lived before, we rise today to make a comment or offer a suggestion.

 

I recall my growing up needs as a young man. When confronted with something deeply personal on the issue of self and god, I browsed the shelves of countless bookshops but couldn't find the guide of the day regarding the issues. In desperation, I swore that when I grow up, I'll put out something for the young generation of today that encounters one and numerous inquiries on the issue. That's the book I placed with the publisher for consideration.

 

I asked myself today whether it would matter if it didn't get accepted. I've done what I thought was a need in our societies. I kept my promise to myself. I am content with that but I will try another publisher.
