The Gandhava ForestA Story by DayranMystical Series : VII
India is filled with tales of bards coming together to create and form a perception of life that plays a durable role in the life of the community. Such a place was the region at the source of the Narmada and Mahanadi rivers. The place is preserved today as a forest reserve.
It was a community of poets, artists, writers and bards. It was the home of yogis, mystics and men of god who spent entire lifetimes searching for the truth of the human experience. They lived in huts but produced some of the most profound literature India and the Hindu faith, had ever encountered.
Such was the Gandhava community, in a previous era, that produced the Uphanishads, the Vedas and the Puranas, which are today an integral part of the faith of the East. Such efforts continue today in the many places in Rishi Kesh, the ashrams of Kolkata, Sabarimalai, Tiruvannamalai, Palani and many others.
It occured to me as I was surfing these places on the web that, right here in writers cafe, we seem to have a growing community of such personalities. The Chris's, Morgans, Cowboys, Fromans, Hammers, Askews, Muses, Waingankars, Akshats, Hayleys and many others, are testament to the growing impulses from people around the world to found a one world faith that we can all subscribe to.
Such was the inspired visions from its own humble beginnings that led our communities into the civilization idea. Such is the will of the world spirit in its continuing quest to unite us all in a common purpose and understanding of our individual selves.
Its nice to take a moment to applaud such continuing efforts and to fill it with new resolve to continue their work into the future. It holds so much promise for us all.
