Wild OrchidsA Story by DayranMystical Series : V
Growing up in a family of seven children is quite a task. It teaches the child, early, the habits of a busy mind. However, learning to manage it and bring it to some productive use in school or at work is quite a task.
At the top of the ladder was my older sister. The way she related to the rest of us boys was to constantly threaten us with an implied sense of ' I'll tell father.' It was her instrument, her music and dance in her life. She drew all meaning from being good at it and eventually grew to display an extraordinary relation to father, which had no intent.
That's a little like cultivating a love for orchids because you hate roses with thorns. Its an alternative. It takes you away from what you don't want to do without appearing to be offensive. But had a person asked my sister to explain her fondness for orchids, she would have provided an explanation that was obviously lacking in content.
This reminds me of how I came to meet my wife. Her father had passed away. Whether I attributed a sense of non-competition with another male and whether this played a part in my decision making, I'm not sure. What I was certain is that I wanted a woman to love who wouldn't go and tell a higher authority that I wasn't good enough.
It occurs to me as I review these matters that we are like salts of the earth sometimes. Like when you hear someone say the waters in Dorres are great for health. We grow like these salts, depending on the influences that are brought to us at a critical point in our compliances.
And when we view our compliances in these way, we realize that despite our own concerns for a careful consideration for the facts, we are what we are, based on our willingness or non-willingness to respond to issues. Sometimes we shut ourselves off completely, when its been too much. That explains the wonderful feel we encounter, when we open up.
