A Complicated Point

A Complicated Point

It's actually very easy,

Yeah....what is? Oh yes!

The divine idea...easy,

Now imagine the very beginning,

What have you got?

Nothing!....Where was I?

The beginning.....of course,

You see...something...something,

Came out of ..... nothing,

Thin air....No, no, no air,

There was no air, nothing...,

What? My boy...on sabbatical,

It's getting too close he says,

Took off....now where was I?

Something came out of nothing,

You don't forget something like that,

It's a consternation in our eyeballs,

It halts our breath to think of it,

Something....like that, is an event,

It creates a point in our mind, a wonder,

Deep...immovable, till kingdom come,

So....so....our thoughts...that's it,

Our thoughts form itself around it,

So....what do you get when...when...,

You peel the onion?  Nothing.... ,

But will you know what it means?

That...that...is the story of the man,

The more you think you know the less...,

Is the sense of wonder we feel.

All these...the loves...the disappointments,

The anguish, the struggle....to teach one thing,

One thing....what's that?....one thing..,

To remember what it was when the last star,

Burns away and leaves us in emptiness,

We bring our sense of wonder into review,

The memory of who or what we were,

Are!...are!...at this time. What time is it?

I think I'm going to grab a bite to eat.

Extremely raw and dynamic, two things I love about your poetry. That is the story of man of course. I loved it.
