Electric PassionsA Poem by Dayranby Dayran
Its beginnings are without significance, A toothless grin at magical wonder, A mysterious whisper in the wind, Long days that are idyllic and empty, Then suddenly we see someone special, It tugs at the feelings, makes us want, We are compelled to give it an expression, Perhaps we say its beauty or charming, But it goes deeper than even that, It pulls on the muscles to move on it, To do something in response to the appeal, We are engulfed with a drive to advance, With a reason now so clear and bright, That justifies our actions in the direction, Then it happens, like a magnet turned on, It draws the world to it, says it's that way, That it may even be destiny, a will, That love brings to life and the impulses, To which we are now driven to act upon, Electric like the lightning in a storm, Sudden, impulsive, daring and spontaneous, We rise, we move, smile and then the words, That says hello, how are you, I'm fine, Like static electricity that became the dynamo, We are in love, in a fascination with passions, That defines our lives in a natural lifetime, A tale that began with opposites, stirring, An electrical attraction that is marriage.
