The Singing Mamay

The Singing Mamay

A singing mother it is not.
Originally conceived by Mamay,
The Ukrainian horseman,
It may have come to denote,
A relation between mother & child,
The way a mother sings lullabys,
To which the child gurgles in responses.
Its a relation that has a greater truth,
Drawn as it is from the subtle,
In our experiences, a depiction of god,
From the early times, an assurance,
Deep in the self, of safety & comfort,
That the world brings to us, in ways,
That depicts the many selves,
As we evolve through our rebirths.
The gradual movement from the one self,
To the self of the world and the I,
The self of the individual that we intuit,
In ourselves, each a separate dimension,
A different reality from the other,
Which we learn to order and set up in us.
The star of Mamay comes into every life today,
To begin a new age of realization of self.
