Orion's Tea-Party

The master star maker is a busy person,

He sits at the edge of the milky way,

And engages the work of recycling,

The many stars that have fallen down,

And drift as clouds of milk in the sky.

He speaks to them, persuades and motivates,

Eventually getting them to rise again,

A painful vocation for anyone engaging stars,

As the experience of the fall is painful.

It collects in little excuses and veiled denials,

For to climb up and take to the cause,

The individual must pull himself by the socks,

Substitute for the passion, the facts,

And a reasoning mind that aids the passions.

Everytime he falls, he finds a new reason,

To keep going and to clarify his view,

For the passions will not respond to the same call,

They need something new to inspire them,

A new thinking to lead them to their destination,

What the passions seek, in intimation,

Is stuff the mind can know, in words,

It seeks to have the mind understand.

For passion and reason, both have the same aim,

A mastery of itself and its purpose in life,

And Old Orion is where they are reborn,

The man with many hats, that must choose,

The one hat he wears the rest of his life.
