Hold You Dear

Hold You Dear

A Poem by Daydreaming
"

When tragedy struck close.

"
Never in my life, would I dream of finding someone like you.

The smile you could produce, simply astonishing.
Piercing my shell of depression like rockets firing.

Your body moves with elegance and beauty,
Making me smile, like it was your sole duty.

Feelings blooming like flowers of Spring,
Piercing my heart with your humorous sting.

A simple date, a wondrous night,
Your dress of white blessing us with light.

Laughter, kisses and love.
Flying through the night, a pair of doves.

A horrifying screech, tears of sorrow.
That drunk driver, your life is not his it can't be borrowed.

That amazing dress,
A beautiful red mess.

I love you no matter where you'll be,
Please just.... Don't leave me.

Pause.
"I'll clean the house, I'll walk the dog.
When you wake up and put your freezing feet on my legs, I wont kick or scream.
I'll go to your parents this year.
I wont argue about dinner, its whatever you want."
Play.

Our last moment, you hand is slipping,
Please don't go, I wont live with you missing.

Your smile, a single tear.
I'll love you forever, I hold you so dear.

I smile, a million tears.
I let you go, my greatest fears.

Never in my life, would I imagine losing someone like you.

A touching piece, so honest and true feelings which are written in a well-done poem. In the beginning, the true emotions captivated us to understand to what limit that love was, then when we were filled with all of that honest love the sad incident happened to make us truly feel the misery of loss.

Stark imagery and powerful phrasing.

This is a really beautiful piece. The overall movement that his poem has is impeccable. I love the way that this poem tells a story without saying much. Very well done.
There were a couple places where I thought the rhythm of the poem was slightly off syllable-wise. Particularly the sixth and seventh stanzas.

Wow, there's a ton of felling in this with demonstrations of love and affection that hit hard. ( When you wake up and put your freezing feet on my legs, I wont kick or scream. ) This is really good writing that's sad a well.

This is the first writing I've read from you and I can see you have talent. Nice job.

Beautiful and sad. I feel like this one definitely had to be written. It is a floodgate of words and emotions so tangible that I felt the sorrow right off the bat. You say that writing soothes you. I can tell without even being told that. It's a healing tool for me as well. Thank you so much for writing this!
