Hero's who Fell to Love

Hero's who Fell to Love

A Poem by Daydreaming
"

A short poem of my experience with love while enlisted and over seas.

"
A timid young man, a mischievous young girl.

Hot steamy nights,
Long drawn out fights.

Passion flows free,
You were never looking at me.

Heads held high, looking ahead.
I should have left you instead.

Towards the future we go,
Who'd you love, I wont know.

A contract, a distant journey.
Promises of love, it really hurt me.

A hero's calling, a bride at home.
Little I knew, digging my own tomb.

War out front, parties at school.
I never wanted to be your tool.

A hero's return, a witty brides guile.
All I ever wanted was to see your smile.

Author's Note

Daydreaming
First read the poem through, then read only the top lines together. Then read the Second lines together.

How did you like this? It was influenced on my own affairs while enlisted.
