Fingerprints

Fingerprints

A Poem by Fabiana
"

I was actually trying to explain one my other ones, and this appeared.

"
One night I came stumbling home
As I discarded the days clothing
there was something I noticed

There was a hand upon my stomach
then traveled up my lined skin
to the smiling gate of my voice

I swear I could feel those familiar hands
As they reminded themselves of the scarred ivory they left behind
Which remembered their every fingerprint

As the two reacquainted themselves
I turned into you
to see you make some black remark
     float away
             away to your earthly body
And from my chamber once more

Leaving me imprinted with your DNA
and my naked self

i like the imagery here, almost love making but not quite. the 'fingerprints' belay a larger more
fundamental imperitive of beautiful singing. very nicely written,
