BootsA Poem by FabianaThe creases on my shins The reminder of the laces Of those boots that you’ve always hated. The crossing of the laces Leave their mark my pearly skin, Like the marks you left on my trachea When I tried to speak of the moon to you Breath into me Pull my body into the endless spiral I want to feel the end of time Separated in just a kiss a touch a word Just one more time We once shook the sky With our lungs painting stars on the ceiling But then a knife went in It destroyed our sky Animals moved into the empty spaces Put their claws on the spongy tissue And in the end all I have is Black boots and the lungs of a creature © 2013 FabianaReviews
