Perfect Nightmare

I closed my eyes
for the kiss goodbye.
Everything I knew
began to fade.
I allow the tears
to slowly fall.
The one who left
me as a mess
I can't get them
out my head.
I don't know what to do.
My chest begins to ache
but it's okay because
I do not mind hurting for you.
This is my perfect nightmare
and it's going so swell.
I tried my best
to save our fragile love
and now I believe
you don't feel it still.
I feel drowsy, so lousy.
I'm sorry for whatever I did
and for wasting your time .
I'll sit here and ponder
with tears in my eyes.
I still can't comprehend
what happened.
