In the End

In the End

A Poem by Dandelion

Maybe this is wishful thinking
or just pointless dreaming.
Everything that I am seeing,
could it be fooling me?
I hoped and dreamed
that you wouldn't leave,
even though you were
halfway out the door.
She's leing through her teeth.
She swears she's just fine
but nobody is reading
between the lines.
They can not crack what
she is hiding behind her teeth.
Why must this happen to her?
A lonely girl,
left to fend on her own
and to make it through alone.
