You are a romantic, and a wonderful storyteller in poetry. Words do have power, both to invoke and convey, but also to deceive. "I love you", said with a lifetime, echoes forever. False words die on our ears.
You have such a wonderful flow, and the end rhymes are very satisfying. Almost ballad like.
I am enjoying rolling this passage around on my tongue and in my mystery places. "Some may pass by me more often and then echo in silence and drip from my pen" That is absolutely beautiful.
yes indeed ..i like the slightly freer form of this ..compared to your other poetry ... we have such power in words ...i think of the Biblical account of creation...God speaks...and it is so ... hasty words .. angry words ..lying words ..have an instant effect that is not forgotten by men ..maybe forgiven..but rarely forgotten ... and as you so fluidly bring your readers to a simple and eloquent truth ... love is where its at ... the final analysis strips us and accuses us of everything else i think ... but ... we shall see right?! :) i enjoyed this rather lighter presentation of deeper and meaningful truths .. nice one

I agree my good friend.
"Both honest and true,
Should one be left lonely,
And those, ‘I love you.’"
Your words wonderful and true. Thank you David for sharing the outstanding poetry.
