Enjoy this format, Dave...but to not be able to go back into the copy does complicate the reviewing process a tad. Seems like the Black Dog is the waystation where both Death and his prospective clients hang out while awaiting transmittal? Was the "dollymop" (?) so distraught by the death of her beloved that she offed herself?...or was Someone Else in the Landau who performed that service?..or was it simply her misfortune to mount the wrong taxi? An engaging tale, whatever the backstory...as ever!

DLP - From start to finish...the story just builds to a climax...and the brevity of it all is told...as you are the narrator...and those that I have come to read and listen-in of your work...this gives much in the lines...I was quick to be drawn-in...the imagery takes us on a helluva ride with this verse...and the ending finishes this quite well...thanks for the invite from Tate...another fine write --- GYM...
I loved this! Your words reminded me of Edgar Allan Poe's writing as well as the poem "The HIghwayman" by Alfred Noyes. Nice imagery and your reading was captivating.
The sheer descriptive nature and imagery slaps the reader about the ears, nose and throat, terrifying and realistic, a piece of nightmares, well done, great read.
