Excellent. Truly going to be a classic one of these days Mr. Paget. I'm not certain whether that story would lull me to sleep or not, or leave me staring at the ceiling wide eyed and awake till dawn. Oh well I'd rather sleep during the day the night owl that I am.
Another brilliant masterpiece and a masterful write. A storyteller you are for sure, and hearing you read it to us is a blessing. A very dark piece and a myth it is for sure they way you described it was brilliant.
Another wonderful reading, David! I think you've been holding out on us. Wonderful spoken word performance and the dark foreboding imagery obviously adds to this fabulous work.
To HEAR you is such a blessing! The beauty of your poetry, the story as you tell it is... to state it plainly, nothing short of amazing! I am in awe my friend. I could listen to you all day... A voice to soothe this wary insomniac with a story to lull me to sleep. Please continue to do your poems this way. I beg of you to give the little girl in me a way to finally be told a story, written by such an exquisite master of rhyme, just brings me that satisfied feeling of being nurtured like a father does for his child. Thank you. You are a gift.
dark foreboding and macabre. like the works of edgar allen poe. brings to mind middle 19th century poetry like that of like lord byron. excellent work.
You gave me a chill with this one. The darkness, the hood, the poems tempo all lead to a chilling thriller. It's a talent to write like you do; but to be able to convey the story through the timber and emphasis that you lend it makes it a masterpiece.
How charming to be read to! Thank you! A perfectly chilling tale for the readimg and you of course know best where to pause and look at your audience from under your hood. Loved the tale and enjoyed this experience greatly!
Now that was a pleasure to hear and to watch. The man in the hood stops to stare, as he pauses in his tale. The wind howls on some hidden cue, you can hear the demons wail. Oh, you know I've read his stories, and the dark ones give a chill. Still, when the master reads his work, it is quite a different thrill!
I loved it BTW!
