Anyone cares?

Just a short poem I came up with...

Planet earth cries in agony
Like a mother cries for her child
But nobody seems to understand
Is there anyone who cares?

There are many. But not everyone is brave enough to express that love. Moreover, chase that love. Live in that love. That is the sad part, I guess.

Many of us care and many don't give a damn. I believe we must live the proper life. Respect nature and life. Teach and set the example. Old Native American saying. "If you put your foot in the lake. Can create a movement that can expand to a storm of great change." Let hope and pray this world learn to live in peace with nature and the human race. You said a handful in the excellent poetry.

Few words, immense meaning. That means quality and sincerity in my book. As long as each of us is alive, we're taking air from the space around us. In return we fill the atmosphere with filth, pollute the sea, rape the wilderness and would you believe it, our leisure pursuits are generally involved with killing, pillaging, warring and whoring... Could be that one day planet earth will take its revenge... Why give a nest to birds who pee all over it!

What are we doing to our planet? Wars, gun killings, global warming; exchanging trees for mounds of concrete. The carelessness and selfishness of humanity is so blinding that we don't even see we're destroying ourselves. Your poem is an accurate description of this whole disturbing notion and slow suicide of the human race. Great job.
