Beautiful Hydrangea

Beautiful Hydrangea

A Poem by David Smothers

Beautiful hydrangea
Dressed in blue
It says happiness from me to you

Beautiful hydrangeas
Dressed in pink
It says I like you... I think

Beautiful hydrangea
Dressed in red
It says move love to your heart from your head

Beautiful hydrangea
Dressed in white
Reminds us of those who went to the light

Beautiful hydrangea
Dressed in lavender
Well...
It just says I'm happy.

That southern flower
Oh that southern flower
That old water barrel flower
That's what we hold true

Thanks God for a wonderful tree.
For me.
