The Dawn

The Dawn

A Poem by Pash

Beware the dawn of brighter days,
Even the sun must go away.
Come again this time tomorrow,
today is wasted on future sorrow.

And with the night, comes the moon.
A promise is made to see you soon.
But words are fickle like the rain,
A lovers heart is bound to change.

Love has waited far to long,
See her vanish with the dawn.
As you watch your world begin to fade
beware the promise of brighter days.

I am very fond of rhythm and rhyme. I use rhyme myself. This is a lovely read and you can touch the emotions with your writing. Not many people can do that. My favourite verse is the second. Good work, well done.

I like the rhythm that is sustained in this poem. and the poem gives a realist view of life with a tone of caution. Interesting
