The Dissatisfying Lifestyle

The Dissatisfying Lifestyle

A Poem by David the writer

French champagne
Pleasure and pain
Suitcases full of money
Playboy bunny

Blurred lines
Desire confines
Crooked smile
Shady life style

Dreaming awake
Whatever I want, I take
Tainted and stained
But no longer chained

And I want the world
My hungry desires urged
Listening to an adviser I trust
My heart's lust

Diamonds sparkle
Fast cars are novel
But power satisfies
And money amplifies

Suits and ties
Well written lies
Politics bore me
And so does philosophy

There's a hunger in my eyes
As my desire rises
I'm looking to feed the appetite
So light the dynamite

And let's watch the fireworks
And enjoy the waterworks
Of my evil deeds come true
Hearing the crowds cheer "Boo!"

This is the ambitious life
Of strife, strife, strife
For unrealistic goals
Too broke to pay karma's tolls

I'll die while trying
A life that's dissatisfying
An ironic story they'll tell
My legend in pages they'll sell

And the moral of it all
The rise and the fall
You can shoot for the stars
But there's more to life than fast cars
