Bandit By Night

Bandit By Night

A Poem by David the writer

Out in the moon
Morning is soon
Running, running, gone
Just as it turns dawn

Playing cat and mouse
Avoiding the bird house
Running, running, here I am
I'm just one big sham

A gentleman by day, bandit by night
A tuxedo and bow-tie when in sight
But a bandanna, and gloves when running
Just a scoundrel with a pistol in hand, gunning

Steal to live, live to steal
What guilt is there to feel
A poor man's fate twined with addiction
What's your prediction

Fade, fading, faded
My figure shaded
The bank was raided
No tongues to tie, I was unaided

Flaunt, flaunting, flaunted
The law has been daunted
And I'm dearly wanted
Yet here I stand, undaunted

I like how you covered all the aspects of the life of a bandit. A good rhyming was added for a good effect. Bravo, sir...:).....
