My Muse

My Muse

A Poem by David the writer

You're a shooting star
Falling far
I'm a dreamer with an imagination
Biting on an addiction

You're a real piece of art
I hold close to my heart
I'm so lost in your eyes
That shine brighter than the stars of the skies

You're my muse
And I'll peruse
You're an instant inspiration
And I'm caught in awe and admiration

You're a whole lifetime full of poetry
From your swinging sway to that smile I see
And I'm the lucky poet to write it all
No detail too big, none too small

You're like nothing else I know
You're just so perfect, Ms. Monroe
And as long as you're by my side
I'm satisfied

How nice it is to be in the presence of a living muse.
Treasure her!
