Take Me Away

Take Me Away

A Poem by David the writer

Take me away
Today
From the old monotony
Won't you take me

Just blow me out
Of this drought
I'm sick of the same old same
Give me wealth, give me fame

I don't care anymore
Life's become such a bore
I'm getting restless
And I feel like a serious mess

Tie a rope
And hope
Jump off a building
Ready for the sting

Hear the wheels shrill
And I'm roadkill
Hold my breath
Enjoy my death

I don't care anymore
Life's such a bore
I'm getting restless
And I feel like a serious mess

In a cold black coffin
With still pale skin
Exploring the unknown
All alone

But don't you cry
When you say goodbye
Because I'll be free
From my monotony
