The Snake in The Grass

The Snake in The Grass

A Poem by David the writer

The snake in the grass
Lies to the mass
And it'll eat all the sheep
When they sleep

The sun will fall out of the sky
And the world will be one big sty
As if politics slips
Into an apocalypse

Can men have too much power
Is it bad for a selective group to tower
As others rape, murder, and pillage to survive
Is it okay for some to thrive as some strive?

Are politics our downfall
Will leaders kill us all?
Should the world be controlled
By notions of rich men's gold?

Are there people we can trust
For there are men we must
Are there leaders we can follow
For there are leaders that make us wallow

Are all men the same
And should mankind feel shame?
Is Gandhi and Hitler in competition?
What's the right decision?
