Silver Tongue

Silver Tongue

A Poem by David the writer

Put on my poker face
As my silver tongue dances
Just my ways
To take my chances

Smirk crookedly
Let my eyes shine
As I can feel them watching me
Acting like everything's fine

But it's hard to look in the mirror
When no one's got your back
The view seems to get clearer
And every day it seems there's another crack

And no one really loves the real you
But now it's too late, and there's nothing else I can do
