Here Come Soldiers

Here Come Soldiers

A Poem by David the writer

We march all day, and night
We fight for what's right
If the propaganda fed to us is true
Which is why we're killing you

Swords and knives ready
With me, or against me
We're unit
A candle brightly lit

A stab to the chest
A bullet hole in the breast
Here come soldiers
Government's paid killers

My son died in a war yesterday
Fighting against the wholesome way
We don't want democracy
And that's a choice we decree

But they can't hear us over their guns blazing
The power of propaganda's amazing
Take a free man, and hypnotize him
So he can as told, rip limb from limb

A stab to the chest
A bullet hole in the breast
Here come soldiers
Government's paid killers

The future never seemed so near
The end is what we fear
Nuclear warfare
But does anyone still care

We're paid politicians and we want our wallets fed
And if that means killing everyone, we'll paint the earth red
It's not about the people, it's about the green
And there's no amount fulfilling ever seen

A stab to the chest
A bullet hole in the breast
Here come soldiers
Government's paid killers

It's a laugh riot, a real funny bone tickler
Even more so than Hitler!
And just to think, I started this all
With just one easy phone call

It's true, it's me
The devil you'll never see
I told one man to blow up another, and that other man the same
So, it's begun, my favorite game

A stab to the chest
A bullet hole in the breast
Here come soldiers
Government's paid killers
