Too Much Of A Controlled Thing

Too Much Of A Controlled Thing

A Chapter by DavidRyanM

"I have to have control over everything," she said.
"My emotions, situations I find myself in, what you
say to me." She said this as if it was a bad thing, and I laughed
it off. It wasn't until she controlled her feelings for me into
oblivion that I realized what she had meant.

Perfect example of what your poetry is always able to do for its' readers: be completely, 100% spot on. We have all done this, we have all felt this, and you put into words what we can't quite put our fingers on. Maybe I shouldn't include everyone, but I know for myself this is true. Your writing is consistent, too. Your style is the same from one to the next no matter how many days or months you put between writing them so whatever you turn this collection in to, they are going to piece together perfectly. Which I'm sure was your idea. Great write.

i love the structure of this.. it put me off center just enough to make me feel the uneasiness of warning signs ignored

damn. you always manage to stick your fingers into my heart and squeeze til it hurts..

Oh the early warning signs. Statements like this are always so easily dismissed, when they really should be taken into consideration. I love the layout in this piece, very 'controlled' as you might say.
