Huffing

Huffing

A Chapter by DavidRyanM

He said he came from the seedy underbelly
of the seedy underbelly. I made a pot of coffee
and we talked deep into the evening. I can't remember
a single word he had said to me, but I vividly recall
how he cried when I brought up how I miss the touch of
a long lost girlfriend.

i love these sort of chance happenings..

and yet, for some reason, it made me think of what would happen if i ever got my father into a room he couldnt run from. would we have a profound conversation like this?

Great f****n' title. The repetition of "seedy underbelly" is fantastic. It reminds me of "a friend of a friend," or "I knew a guy who knew a guy." See you soon man.

I like the double e's. "Seedy" and "deep" along with the sound of "evening." This was a very auditory piece for me.
