At the reunion I wasn't planning on attending because I feel I have outgrown that part of my life, everyone reminisces about the valedictorian's speech and the funny joke that made everyone in attendance laugh. I sit, stewing, knowing it was a joke I had said while in the classroom. I can't believe I still haven't gotten any credit for that and that no one has come to my defense. Then I realize I haven't outgrown anything.
