Smashing Platters

Smashing Platters

A Poem by David Plantinga
"

I still remember my grandmother's heavy, gold-rimmed china.

"

Because light and durable dinnerware

Is low-class and not debonair,

The china that shatters,

Those slippery platters,

Enliven dining with a jump-scare.
