SONNET TO MY DREAM WOMAN

SONNET TO MY DREAM WOMAN

Sonnet to My Dream Woman

It was just your picture at first—no! Your
words and lines and verses—poetry flows
from you, tide of my desire. Only goes
heavenward for my heart. I see you pour
your heart out in lines, and my desires soar
to heavens you grace with each smile—it glows
from within you. Vibrant peach! Love, love sows,
but what shall verse reap? Desire, I implore!

What gentle gesture foments love? One dance
gyrating on a lighted floor? Breastfed
sons are coddled–envy such love! Yet, chance
need not be the end . . . Decision instead
drives us to bless each other. What romance
but what we create? On your breast, I’m fed!

David,

I am blown away by your poetry! Your passion for life, your longing for the unattainable, shines through with every line. Great work.

Wow!! I love this.. "I see you pour your heart out in lines.. any my desires sour to heavens you grace with each smile." My favorite line.

Love it, good job.
