Why me?

Even though I know Devon is behind me wrapped around my body. I know he has to wake up soon so I will treasure these moments while he is still with me.  

I hear him waking up. “Umm sorry David for sneaking in to your bed last night.” He snuggles up to me even more. I turn around to face this 10 year old boy. He gets so close his head is in my chest and he whispers to me “ Why did you choose me instead of those other kids”

I can tell he is still half asleep. Shhh Devon, I pull him closer with my hand on his head. He falling back into his lovely dream cause he moaning words of love to his dream love.

I lie here and think why did I choose you. I could have had any one of them but I choice this pure blood.

I pull the covers over are skin bodies that are getting cold from the window that Skyler has open for us.
