Morning's

Morning’s alarm going off

Jolted me abruptly awake

Reflecting Sun was shinning

Which first tickled free tops

To then work slowly down

To where we lay in our bed

Where it crept past our feet

Finally covering our heads

Tree’s leaves were outlined

With a much brighter green

The icing of blossom’s bursting

On the Mock Orange

Was almost obscene

All being a sensual serving

Of Nature’s, delicious cuisine

Stirring the old bones

Was increasingly a task

But assistance by such beauty

Was all one could ask
