Moon's Light

I couldn’t stop thinking 

About softness of moon’s light

It having me preen my feathers

To take a nocturnal flight

 

The eve was a dreamscape

I glided in the soft of night’s air

Like lovers embracing gently

I was captured in its tender snare

 

Soothing shadows painted us together

My feathers became the moon’s soft rays

While other's with their feathers slept

We cavorted in a magical maze
