Payback

Just out for an innocent walk one night

When I smelled some yummy peanut butter

I smelled someone’d left a mess in a pail

And I thought to help clean up their clutter

 

The whomever untidy person’s trash led

To a pail with a long plastic ramp

There was a slight bit of water on it

But I didn’t mind getting my feet damp

 

Peanut butter I’d always wanted to buy

But mice never carry any cash

And when I reach for this sweet gift

I sadly created a terminal splash

 

I flailed in utter panic, being unable to swim

With black pail sides and darkness all round

I had thought to clean-up somebody’s mess

But a cruel death by drowning, was what I found

 

Then “HE” whoever he was, thought it just too funny

With joking tales of my demise told over ‘the air’

With suggestions that could involve my dear wife

In what woefully became, a heinous diabolical, affair

 

Thankfully I’ve found a workshop in mouse heaven

Where a Blonde Bombshell is being built to trap this killer

“Her” performance will soon be seen on ‘Netflix’

The title to be!!! “A Mouse’s Payback” which’ll be a thriller
