The Slow RiverA Chapter by Dave Brown🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘We
lay together on the slow river’s bank Resting
back while idly searching the skies We
saw rolling clouds with a sweet dab of red Like
red poppies with secrets not yet revealed Pockets
of wingtips darted first out, then in As
tho’ covers of feathers represented a sin Sun’s
warmth that we’d not felt for so long Had
heartbeats respond as tho’ chords of a song Depth
of your blue eyes, I admired every chance Full
lips and silk skin that make my heart dance Soft
blue of blue skies reflected by slow water Had
green riverbanks mesmerized by their sight Two
descending Geese waterskied a skiing stop Then
onto the low bank, both took an easy hop Where
would we fly had we feathered wings With
us together, here would so perfectly do © 2024 Dave BrownReviews
