Spring's LazyA Chapter by Dave Brown🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋While
through quiet woods I pass I
am observed by tall towering trees Entertained
by squirrel’s chitter chat And
tenderly tickled by lightest breeze Where
soggy, saturated soil subsides After
raucous rain and snow abate Deciduous
buds shyly peek an eye Enjoying
early Spring’s mandate Capricious,
crooked creeks cajoling From
still snow-covered peaks Burbling,
bubbling, gurgling, guggling A
hurrying horde of winter’s leaks Fall’s
leaves camingled with fir needles Knitting
a quilt work of forest freeway Evergreen
galoots with long-legged roots Combine
for a spring, nesting souffle A
tender twig cracks, then quietly A
silent Towhee’s shadow slips by
Sun’s
warm bright, filter’s down An
early Owl sends a hooty “Hi!” April’s
attitude is my kind of crazy Barbecues
t’ween daffodil and daisy As
winter memories get more hazy I’m
