After a mixed-up meal we received from a sous chef

Which only happened because he was sumkina deaf

We strolled passed a stadium which hosted race cars

Where we sat to watch using our, frequent pause clause

It looked like a real interesting place

Since all these track cars were designed just to race

There were Ferraris, Lamborghinis’ and a Ford GT 40

And many others involved in the whole racing sortie

Surprisingly, out of the blue, Clyde approached the BMW team

I hadn’t realized he’d always dreamed of racing an F1 machine

Now it appeared he intended to pursue this longtime dream

Surprisingly, our friend Coyote was a race car mechanic of note

And to both he and Beagle, winning races was all that she wrote

We (our team) were assigned a race car pit between the bleachers and track

It seemed that at world class racing, Clyde would now get a crack

Amazingly, Clyde was the top qualifier, which had him start on the pole

Then, after praying to his favorite, horse food bowl

He shone his four hooves and multi-braided both his main and tail

Because, in this endeavor his inclination was not to fail

However, just as the race was about to start, Clyde’s mother phoned

Sounding terribly sick, she continually neighed and groaned

Endlessly pleading with him that he would come to her aid

From this, Clyde’s Mommy’s sorry situation, he’d never fade

Altho’ downhearted, he left BMW’s Hybrid V8, for Beagle to drive

And under this startling circumstance, a surprised Beagle came alive

Fortunately, previous to this, he had been involved in some racing

His girlfriend, a stunning Greyhound, who he was continually chasing

That was, until he finally built a dune buggy with 427 V8 power

And in that cool machine, he chased her hour after hour

Now, using that experience, he was leading the race, lap after lap

Until the final pit stop, it being just as Clyde came back

There, they switched drivers down in the pit

This being an example of a team not aware of the word quit

Because from the pit stop Clyde, was half a lap down pulling out

But this great beast responded with a ‘Here I Come’ shout

And amazingly, at race’s end, it was Clyde finishing just first

Which was an accomplishment that sated his F1, car racing thirst

He and Beagle had outdriven the world’s best and won

Having them from then on, both like father and son

While the two of them talked together about their car

Coyote and I each finished off a yummy chocolate bar

Clyde had made big bucks for his incomparable win

Allowed us, at least on that night, to sleep at a real fancy inn

But before we settled down after watching a late show on telly

In the lavish ensuite, Clyde did something quite smelly
