Creekside

Creekside

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

🦋🦋🦋🦋🕊️🕊️🕊️🦋🦋🦋🕊️🕊️🕊️

"

When morning’s dew retreated

As day’s sunlight rose into view

As that great orb cracked the horizon

It brought with it, old memories of you

Accompanied by sunbeam’s soft music

Seemingly in time with your heart’s beat

It was along this Creekside we’d picnic

Memories which we would often repeat

As that great orb climbs into the sky

With dew drying on leaves spread on high

As the sun warms all in its daily pass-by

To this sweet spot I say a final goodbye

i love the pic and its your favorite picnic spot, i would love to see this spot and have more picnics to come, i hope how can one say good bye to their favorites one, i would say the life is reviving what we are supposed to do though we forget in busy life exploring foreign land, and we miss our own native place, i think this journey is making us to get closer even more than that busy street where mom grew up with her siblings, calling by her brother and mom "endhadaa , eppol? every word might be like soft music of those childhood days,
very glad to see these places, feeling so missed an also like going to home at the same time.

Didn't know you were a romantic at heart, Dave, but I find this one very moving. The last line speaks of a great truth for all of us: Treasure what you love, for the day comes when it, too, shall pass.

Thanks John
The older I get, the more I think about it
Favorite places with fond memories bring many emotions to the surface and can be great place to visit or hard ones. It all depends on the day how one is feeling on the squishy inside
