Next morning we were visited by a chief of the Sioux nation

He had proof positive bout our gold, no foolish speculation

When he came to us, what it was he then told

Was where the nasty Spaniard’s were hiding the gold

It had been taken to a location across the vast plain

Where countless Buffalo once were endless game

When I asked him where all them Buffalo had gotten

He replied that the whole dastardly deal was sumkina rotten

Because now, on that wide open plain, you just couldn’t spot-em

Because the thoughtless white man had continually shot’em

However, this Sioux had with him a coyote who’d volunteered to help

Who had been trailing those Spaniards with another young whelp

It suggested I climb upon Clyde’s strong back

Leaving Coyote and Beagle, to both use their noses to track

Altho’ with each looking weird without their noses in place

All agreed they should track with each nose left on each face

This arrangement had us crossing the desert on a slow walk

Pausing with friendly Gophers to have a redirectional talk

They reported the Spaniards being both sooo worn and tired

Because of em’ packing allathat heavy gold, almost all’d expired

However, when they reached the banks of the Rio Grande

They turned toward us, thinking to make somekina last stand

But realizing it was the Pirate Captain (me, the God) and his horse

They immediately surrendered, well, that was tooo obvious of course

Strangely, getting back all that gold made us feel real selfish, no joke

Which prompted us to send up a signal column of smoke

We had decided alla gold should help renew thems herds of Buffalo

And that is where each pound of Spanish gold did eventually go

After such generosity, they welcomed us to thems Black hills, end of day

Where they gave us a large Teepee (Clyde had to fit) in which to stay

But next morning the white man’s horse calvary made an attack

From which many too many would never come back

The battle would take place at somekina strange sounding Horn

Which was where we flew our drone to observe, while still airborne

But the cavalry had been subjected to fight overwhelming odds

Leaving too many combatants to visit a wholebuncha various gods

After which we, now four, decided to continue adventuring elsewhere

Back toward the land of our friendly, fishing buddy, Black Bear

Our Black Bear buddy had emailed saying ‘Spring’s flowers were out!’

And for fishing there were absolutelytonsa mega Salmon and trout

Also, the Heehoot king who had been feelin somkina grave

Had recently decided to go on a vacation from his grand cave

All of which had further prompted to head back that way

Arriving on who knows whichever, would be the day

But tonight, Clyde quietly slipped behind a large plateau

Hoping that toward us, thems desert winds wouldn’t blow

Then, near some cacti out pon the wide desert floor

We all fell asleep, with us representing one tired four

The white man and their never ending desecration of animals and land. Almost wiping out the buffalo. The Spaniards with their gold now all gone.

Hey did blanket join you while fishing for trout and salmon with bear?
