Spring comes (nearly) same time every year

Its resume’ featuring a recharged atmosphere

Observed by bulbs as they pop up their head

Signifying, time to celebrate frigid Winter has fled

Morn’s sensual sunlight, silently sifts through our yard

Which has shade retreating past our deer fencing guard

It blesses garden’s shrubs and us in our lawn chair

While enhancing perfumed dew in morning’s fresh air

Morning’s coffee goes down with greatest ease

An accompanying calorized cookie to also appease

And the white pup whose leaping from lap to lap

Is also captivated by that Spring fever trap

The hummer’s whizz through morning’s light breeze

Having many a feeder sway from branches in trees

Eager Rabbit’s seek a sweet mate in the nearby

Where they’ll produce, thoroughly enjoying each try

Layers of green moss coat each shaded limb

In the creek nearby, minnows enjoy a brisk swim

Flocks of winged wonders return from down south

With sweet songs flowing from each mini- mouth

A young spotted fawn wobbles on long shaky legs

Nearby a nesting mother warms her clutch of eggs

A fuzzy bear cub raucously rolls out of its den

While a boisterous rooster seeks out each broody hen

Cherry blossoms have begun decorating trees

While waiting in anticipation for pollinating bees

Daffodils and tulips burst from gritty ground around

And those sunglasses have just gotta be found

Street singers bring out their fancy guitars

Windows once again are rolled down to cool cars

While Street Vendors populate weekend bazaars

We old geezers settle for foot long cigars

Ewes are now producing lambs at a rate

Fat folks at mirrors, just gotta lose weight

The squirrel on the gate sits up to scold

Before settling down to raise a household

With morning’s Ravens also doing their rounds

Each contributing to Nature’s sweet sounds

While that precious Spring is enjoying its stay

It’s till then we’ll rejoice in it, (almost) every day
