Golden Issues Chap. 5A Chapter by Dave Brown☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕Next
morning we were awaked by a howling Beagle Dangling
from the claws of a flying Eagle The
dog was upset because of the height We
hoped the Eagle would put an end to its fright Thankfully Clyde told us the Eagle was a pretty good friend And
he’d convinced it to have the flight come to an end However
instead of Eagle having Beagle for lunch We
had to get something else a hungry Eagle could munch With
Eagle also looking about for something else to eat We
suggested that he give up catching live meat And
he agreed, saying all it would take Would
be a Teen burger with a strawberry shake The
Beagle, so extremely grateful to avoid this doggy crime Rewarded
us by taking us to a hidden gold mine Using
our 4x4 jeep to climb over rough terrain Something
we ended up doing again and again Until finding billions of dollars of gold just laying about Having
Claude and I erase any pout on our snout Finally,
after carrying all that gold out of the mine We
bought another grog pub, also adding tons-a-wine Which
we happily shared with our grateful canine But
just as we were about to blow every dime We
remembered how things didn’t work well last time Instead,
we took our gold and deposited it into a bank Saving
a little bit to pay for what we had already drank However,
from the other side of the town where we wandered We
heard an explosion about which we three then pondered It
seems that no sooner had we settled into our new way We
got a phone call thoroughly upsetting our day What
had happened, to our shock and grief Just
as we had managed to turn over a new leaf We
received news leaving us totally sad and slobbery Hearing
the bank with our gold, had suffered a robbery Every
last piece of gold that we’d left there earlier this day Had
been stolen and taken, far, far away There
circulated some talk of abuncha sailors from Spain Who
pulled this job to get their stolen gold back again This
situation had us sell our jeep to buy a drone flying ship Which
allowed us to pursue them before giving us the slip They
had taken a wagon train cross the lonesome prairies Which
we followed in our drone, while crouched on our knees To
where, in the black hills of Dakota, they set up camp The
same location we set down, using our drone’s night lamp A
desperate Clyde quickly jumped down onto the ground Leaving
something behind weighing somewhere around a lb. Then
with night having set in and because we were beat We
all fell asleep in the drone’s back seat © 2024 Dave BrownReviews
