Sensual Sunlight

The joy of Spring comes (nearly) same time every year

Its resume’ featuring a recharged atmosphere

Observed by bulbs as they pop up their head

Signifying, its time to celebrate Winter has fled

 

Morn’s sensual sunlight silently sifts through our yard

With shade retreating past our deer fencing guard

It is blessing garden’s shrubs and us, we each in our lawn chair

While enhancing perfumed dew in morning’s fresh air

 

Morning’s coffee goes down with greatest ease

The accompanying calorized cookie does also appease

Then, there is the white pup leaping from lap to lap

Who is also captivated by that Spring fever trap

 

Hummer’s whizz through morning’s light breeze

Which has feeder’s swaying from branches in trees

Easter’s Rabbits seek each other in the wild nearby     

Where they’ll keep producing, while enjoying each try

 

Layers of green moss coat each shaded limb

In the creek nearby, minnows are enjoyin a swim

Flocks of winged wonders return from down south

With sweet songs flowing from each mini- mouth

 

A young spotted fawn wobbles on shaky long legs

Nearby a nesting mother warms a clutch of blue eggs

A fuzzy bear cub raucously rolls out of its den

While a boisterous rooster parades for a broody hen

 

Cherry blossoms have begun decorating trees

Waiting in anticipation for those pollinating bees

Daffodils and tulips burst from gritty ground

And those sunglasses have just gotta be found

 

Street singers bring out their fancy guitars

Windows once again roll down to cool cars

Street vendors populate weekend bazaars

While we old geezers smoke foot long cigars

 

Ewes are now producing lambs at a rate

Women at mirrors just gotta lose weight

The squirrel on the gate sits up to scold

Before settling down to raise a household

 

With morning’s Ravens also doing their rounds

Each contributes to Nature’s enjoyable sounds

Until eventually, sweet Spring has had its say

Till then we can enjoy it, (almost) every day
