Above the CloudsA Chapter by Dave Brown🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️We
decided to go back to my place. There,
we just talked about nothing special. I
did reinforce how he must now see, there were no obstacles. No
stairs to climb, nothing at all like that. But
there was an ascending sensation. As though it was normal to leave tera firma,
as if it was all a perfectly normal pain free experience, much like having a
really good tasting desert, after enjoying a great meal with wonderful friends. Nothing
along the lines of a dog having a bath or getting its toe nails clipped, Nothing
remotely close to paying monthly bills or yearly taxes! No,
not at all like that, I
offered that it mostly likened to any out of world experience, although I’d
never been informed of any such official comparison. Much like flying. I
suggested a person would more or less, ‘encounter’ the small, unusual occurrences
like, walking above street level, no indication of hunger or feeling the effects
of contrary weather, etc. I
mentioned how many more bald spots (for instance) I would notice as compared to
the average person, basically because during these ascents, I would be above
the madding crowd. Also,
how it was normal for folks to actually look through you, as though you didn’t
exist. “Incredible!”
he responded. “And,”
he continued, “He’s going to extend you a helping hand for your journey tonight?” “Yes.” Could
I possibly join you?” “Uh,
umm uh, yes, I can’t see any problem with that but, I have slightly misled you! Unfortunately,
we can’t go tonight!” “Oh!
A problem?” “Well,
there’s a Hockey game on TV tonight. “I
thought you said they always lost?” “One
can hope!!! Perhaps
you could join us tomorrow night instead?” “I’m
afraid tomorrow is Basketball for me!” “Oh
dear, well then possibly some other time.” “Sounds
good!” “Take
care!” “And
you!” © 2024 Dave BrownReviews
