fake When she lifts her foot, her head tilts
back Or does it tilt forward, hard to keep track Exercise is not what she does the mostest Trapped inside a wire cage, she is the hostess To produce a daily egg is her need For this service she earns chicken feed Unfortunate cluckers all round enjoy the same
fate Their greatest concern is not to lay late Whenever they miss it sets off an alarm With the farmer then packing them out of
the barn One hen had missed delivering three times What happens next added to more poultry crimes The farmer removed her from the wire cage Intending next to have her head disengage This indifferent farmer had her strong armed
While carrying her to the back of the barn Tho’ her panic alarm was ready to gong She bided her time in an effort to stay
calm Carried past freezers loaded with chicken
parts Necks, legs, breasts and lotsa red hearts As they continued on to the back of the lot She knew she could soon be stewed in a pot All these chicken bits did quite likely
denote She would be going down some human’s throat But before ending up as soup, it was time
for a plan To escape from this foul farmer and go on
the lam Freeing her wings, she flapped wildly in
dread While aiming a great peck to the side of
his head He, being surprised and briefly stunned Dropped her and away she did runed Panic squawking, she flew out the barn door Desperate to escape all bloody chicken guts and
gore Swearing that she would stay free evermore Of caged up living, she didn’t need no more With her freedom finally having been
found She beat feet from this chicken killing
ground Having termination being a thing of the
past She set about to enjoy freedom at last But first she determined that heartless farmer
must pay For her and others trapped in a tight cage every
day So, that night she snuck round, releasing
each hen With all getting together to build a tight,
farmer size pen She had them train together as tight battle-knit
troops For capturing farmers, they went through allatha hoops Then into his bedroom they snuck, uttering
nary a peep Captured him unawares, while he was in a
deep sleep He then while spendin his time in a tight wire cage Continually pleads every day to be freed But those chickens treat him just as he treated
them Giving him nuthin other than chicken feed A month later “Call Saul” was asked to
mediate To see if there was a solution they could
arrange Eventually the farmer agreeing to scrap all
the cages And let the chickens enjoy laying ‘free
range’ All are now satisfied with the egg laying
scenario Each chicken enjoys freedom and a soft hay bed Although one thing remains as it was before With it being chicken food that they're
