Red EagleA Chapter by Dave Brown☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕Red
Eagle nudged his paint pony Using just a light touch of his knee All
while shielding his eyes to watch An
Eagle high above circling free He
talked to his pony while moving The
two shared a type of love Told
him how they would someday Ride
longside Eagle brother above He
spoke to a passing Bee Carrying
pollen back to the hive He
spoke to the waving tall grass That
kept his pony alive He
knew they were all related Eagle,
Coyote, even noisy Crow New
that they lived on the great plain Courtesy
of the great Buffalo Who
were these strangers that came On
their bodies there was no paint For
some reason it disturbed him But
so far, that feeling was faint © 2024 Dave Brown |
